Minilite Wheels Technical Information
All ®Minilite wheels are low-pressure die cast, heat-treated, pressure tested, batch x-rayed and then machined using the latest computer-controlled equipment, before being finished with a three-layer of powder coat (primer, colour, and protective clear-coat).
Machining activities include setting the bolt pattern and the offset.
Although our application list is already comprehensive, we are frequently adding new applications to it. If your particular requirement is not listed, we may still be able to help.
How to measure
Almost all Minilite wheels are cast as blanks and Minilite are able to machine a variety of PCD’s (bolt patterns) and offsets.
The offset is calculated from the centre line of the wheel to the back face of the wheel, and a back face in line with the centre of the wheel is zero offset. If the back face is forward of this line towards the front of the wheel it is a positive offset and toward the rear of the wheel from the centre line is a negative offset.
Minilite can calculate these offsets if you can give us the ‘C’ dimension, otherwise known as the backspace, as shown in the following diagram.
